Victor Zelek, Ph.D.

Dr. Zelek is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist. He received his doctoral degree from Yeshiva University’s Graduate School of Psychology in New York, majoring in Clinical Health Psychology. He is a Diplomate of National Registry of Neurofeedback Providers (NRNP). Dr. Zelek also holds a medical degree from Lithuania, where he worked as a psychiatrist until he moved to the U.S. in 1984. Dr. Zelek completed his post-doctoral training at NYU Medical Center, Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation. There he worked as a supervising neuropsychologist, specializing in assessment and treatment of various forms of brain injury, such as trauma, stroke, various encephalopathies and brain Lyme. Dr. Zelek has been using Neurofeedback since 1998.

Since 2002 Dr. Zelek has been Director of Neuropsychology Service at the Northeast Center for Special Care in Lake Katrine, NY, a 280-bed facility dedicated to rehabilitation of individuals with brain injuries. At the Northeast Center he established Quantitative EEG and Neurofeedback lab as part of the Rehabilitation Program for patients with moderate and severe brain injuries. He presented his Neurofeedback research at scientific conferences both internationally (International Brain Injury Association conference in Portugal) and nationally (North American Brain Injury Society, International Society for Neurofeedback and Research, Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse and Mid-Hudson Brain Injury Rehabilitation conferences). Dr. Zelek also maintains private practice in Rhinebeck, NY.
